'Organization of the unorganized is a milestone progression. Unionization of agricultural workers, artificial gem cutters, quarry workers etc in Tamilnadu are examples for these progression trends. Outcomes such as formation of a Board for the un-organized workers by the Government in Tam ilnadu and involvement of ILO in bonded labor concerns are indicators for taking this progression, forward. On the other hand, the key areas of recession related to rights of workers are many and the paper discusses them in detail. The proposition of 'third generation workers organizations' is an option for balancing the progression and recession trends. The first step is to categorize unorganized work sectors that have initiated the process of getting organized. The second step is identifying issues, which can form the primary base for the re organization process. The third step is to identity the root causes for 'anti worker' conditions such as compulsory labor and decent work deficit, which is now prevalent in the system. This would form the secondary base for the organization. The proposition of third generation workers organization is an integrated developmental process. It is not a single activity governed by 'One cause and one solution'. It is located in the total development context of the community. 'Anti worker' conditions such as deficit in decent work, bondedness including child labor etc are symptoms of failure of the larger systems. Structural defaults produce these manifestations. They are not the problems in themselves. Causes are multiple. Treatment of the causes should be integrated and based on the ' total system treatmen'  approach. It also attempted to investigate the effect of - (a) age of the teachers, (b) special training and (c) years of experience in teaching LD children on the stress level of these teachers. The sample for the present study included 44 female teachers from various institutions for children with learning disabilities in Bangalore. Stress & burnout level in teachers was assessed through a semi-structured interview schedule, Teacher Stress Scale (modified Wilson Stress Profile for Teachers, 1979) and Burnout Inventory (Maslach's Burnout Inventory, 1981). Both qualitative and quantitative analyses were made. The results revealed that of the total 44 teachers, 45.45 percent (20 of them) experienced moderate level of stress and only 2.27 percent (one teacher) experienced high level of stress. The results also revealed that age did not have a significant effect on the nature of stress, stress management and burnout level. It was seen that there is on effect of special training in teaching children with learning disabilities on the nature of stress, stress management & burnout level in terms of managing students in the class. There was a  significant difference in the stress and burnout level in teachers with regard to years of experience. It was also found that emotional exhaustion was significantly higher among teachers who reported moderate level of stress as compared to teachers reporting low level of stress. A qualitative analysis of the interview data suggests that there is a significant amount of denial in the teachers, in terms of their rating on the level of stress experienced by them. Five variables namely; Female Literacy rate to total literacy rate, Sex ratio, Child sex ratio, working female Population to total working population and Total crime against women have been taken into consideration to assess the levels of women empowerment of the state. District wise secondary data has been collected from census and the Karnataka State human development report. The Composite index method has been computed to ascertain the level of women empowerment, which is depicted in choropleth map, and the correlation co-efficient, is used to find out the relationship between Human development index and the level of women empowerment. The analysis reveals that the southern and coastal parts of Karnataka have a higher share of human development index and higher level of women empowerment. The study also reveals that there is a positive relationship between human development and the level of women empowerment in the state.
